Hello from Down Under!

So it's Wednesday November 22 at 5:00pm right now, and it's bloody hot down here! Sydney's been under a bit of a heatwave the last few days. My sister and I went on the Sydney Harbour BridgeClimband I think I saw it was 38.9C at the summit. It was also incredibly windy and not a nice cooling breeze either, it was like being in a hair dryer on a low setting.

All that isn't to say I'm not having a great time, because I am. It was so great to see Sharon and Matt on Monday night after we landed. We went out to Bondi Beach for a great dinner and lots of catching up. So weird to think that it's been more than a year since I saw them and here it is the other side of the world. But so great, this is how all seperated friends should meet!

So far no appreciable jetlag to speak of and our room at the Mercure is very nice, if small. We got upgraded to a 2 Double from a Twin, so having room on the bed to spread out is a nice bonus. We're very central, right across the street from the Central Train Station which so far we have used every day to get to Circular Quay, our jumping off point to the Sydney Opera House, Taronga Zoo, Sydney Harbour BridgeClimb, and Manly.

I think tomorrow we're going to try and head out to the Olympic Park, and then back in to town for some shopping or just relaxing. Friday we're hoping to be off to the Blue Mountains, but there are lots of reports of Brushfires in that area and it may not be such a great trip after all right now.

That's it for now. G"day!

You know that your brother works for a photo lab right? You could have taken film with you if you wanted to, as long as you don't mind waiting a bit for your prints/CD of your film.

Hope you're having fun!

Yes, but we had to go through a bunch of scanners and the film would have either been a) a hassle or b) ruined. Plus I'm not posative my brother works for a photo lab that processes 120 roll film ;)
