Wow if there's one thing that can make you feel older, it's when the convention you went to as a young lad was at number 4 and now it's at 22! I'm talking about Pandemonium 22 of course. Now I only even remembered it because I've been feeling the urge to play some of the boardgames/wargames I did in my early teen years.
[inner uberGEEK spoiler alert]Back in ancient times Pandemonium was first run by a few people, then got taken over by The General Staff, and then I lost track of it as I got older and for who knows what stupid teenage reason dedided I wanted to shed that aspect of my Geekiness.
This nostaliga trip was actually begun because of something I'm doing at work which landed me at Board Game Geek, at not very well designed but quite informative site.
Anyway being as non-sporty as I always was, Pandemonium was actually the first time I'd ever "won" anything. I still have the certificates. Good times.
