Day 21 - San Jose

If you didn't know any better you'd think I never left San Jose. Just got in from Manuel Antonio, rush hour in this city is crazy.

M.A. was nice, a very nice hotel, probably the best I've stayed in yet. It was great to hook-up with Ingrid and Thomas again, it made the time really fly by. I didn't really do that much, went for a walk on some of the trails around the park. There is a lot of up and down, combined with the heat it equaled a lot of sweating, I drank about 1.6 litres of water. Then is was some time in the surf, it's neat how you (I) can float in the ocean without expending any energy.

Spent some time in Quepos as well, for dinner, then some afternoon drinks the next day. The towns down that part of the coast are bigger then on the Nicoya peninsula, but still small by most standards, and very tourist oriented. At around 4:30 at the hotel restaurant, a troupe of squirrel monkeys comes by. These small endangered monkeys are a lot of fun and very energetic. While at the beach I also spotted some member of the raccoon family devouring some turtle eggs.

I have lots but not all of the film I brought to process and play with. After a while it gets to be a bit much, and the downside to not having a car is that a lot of good shots literally just roll on by.

Anyway, looking forward to heading back tomorrow.
