Coffee and next steps

Slept beautifully last night thanks to the earplugs. Got up for a quick walk around the neighbourhood before the tour bus came to pick me up for a ride to the coffee plantation.

It wasn't really a coffee plantation, but an elaborate tourist-oriented Coffee farm, just off a processing facility. Still, I got to see some coffee up-close, and learn all about it, and take some pictures. The tour was very well run; it was staged as a mini-drama, which was interesting.

Now I have to figure out where to go next. The whole country will be more or less cloudy for the rest of the week, so any place I go will be roughly the same. I think I'm going to try to book one of these 3-day 2-night excursions to Tortugeuro and failing that I'll find some beach in Nicoya. Or maybe I'll just hit some beach on Nicoya and relax for a few days.

UPDATE: Booked a bus to Tamarindo. It's touristy, but it's warm and one of the few places in Costa Rica with a good weather forecast for this week. I decided I was stupid to avoid the sunshine in favour of more clouds. I have plenty of time to see Tortugeuro or anywhere else for that matter.
